Indira Awas Yojana is a Centrally Sponsored scheme. Under this scheme w.e.f. 01-04-2008, the assistance has been enhanced from Rs.27500/- per beneficiary to Rs.38500/- per beneficiary, and is being given to BPL families for the construction of new houses .
