             Govt  Post Graduate College,Kullu offers following Course in Computers Discipline:      

                           

                                                          BCA Department

  The college is affiliated to H.P. University,Shimla.At present it runs graduate courses in arts, Science and
  commerce, a post graduate course in English and a self financing course in Tours and Travel Management.
  And in current 2008-2009 session it has earned another feather in its cap by getting affiliation to run B.C.A
  with intake of 40 seats. The college has  well equipped computer labs, well stocked library rovers and
  rangers  facilities and hostels for boys and girls.
  B.C.A programme is being run by the college under Self-financing Scheme. The duration of the course is
  three years. The B.C.A is being run under annual examination system.

    Number of Seats:

  Subsidized              :   30
  Non-Subsidized       :   10
  Total                      :   40

   Eligibility Conditions:

  (i) Plus two examination under 10+2 system or examination equivalent thereto of a Board/University
      established by law in India, with 50% marks(45% marks in case of SC/ST candidates).

                                                         or

  (ii) Any examination of a university/Board/College or school in a foreign country recognized as equivalent

       for the above purpose by the Vice-Chancellor/Equivalence committee with 50% marks(45% in case of
       SC/ST candidates).

  Basis Of Admission To B.C.A:

  (a) The admission to BCA shall be on competitive/written entrance test which shall consist of 100 questions
       of 100 marks and will be of 1hours 30 minutes duration comprising of three parts Maths(40%) logical
       ability(40%) English and General Awareness(20%).

  (b) For Non-Subsidized/Payment Seats:     

  There will not be any written test for Non-Subsidized category. The final selection to these seats will be
  based on merit subject to minimum eligibility conditions laid by H.P.U.

  Note:

    1. Only the eligible candidates shall be admitted to the courses subject to availability of seats.
    2. The candidate shall compete in their respective category only.
    3. Attendance in regular classes should be more than 75% of the total lectures delivered.
    4. There will be an internal assessment out of 20 marks which will be on the basis of marks
       obtained in house examination, class attendance and class presentation i.e. participation in
       seminars.
